Galatasaray vice president insists that Osimhen could stay beyond summer

The vice president of Galatasaray, Ibrahim Hatipoğlu, has increased the hope that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen can remain in the club beyond the current campaign.

Osimhen, who joined the Turkish giants lent by Napoli last September, has been a sensation in the Super Lig.

The 26 -year -old has delivered consistently impressive actions, scoring 29 goals and providing five assists in 33 appearances in all competitions.

Given its form and Pedigrí, it is expected to attract several suitors of high profile this summer, with the main clubs in England, Germany and Spain, according to the reports, superior of their situation.

A permanent movement to Galatasaray seemed unlikely, but Hatipoğlu believes otherwise.

“There are always rumors about me, of course. But I prefer to live in the moment. I am enjoying myself right now. I am enjoying both the club and my life here,” Osimhen said last week.

In a recent statement, the vice president of the club confirmed Galatasaray’s interest in making Osimhen’s permanent permanence.

“Osimhen’s words do not mean that he will leave,” Hatipoğlu said. “He said that Galatasaray will always be in his heart even if he leaves in the worst case, but he didn’t say he would leave. We want him to stay with us.”

While Galatasaray is willing to meet all financial and sports conditions to retain it, reality remains that Osimhen is very sought after.
