Garba Shehu rejected the rumors of Buhari and Tinubu’s tense relationship

Garba Shehu, a media aide to former President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday reiterated the commitment of his principal to all Progressive Congress (APC).

Shehu, who appeared in 30 minutes Trust TV, said the former president remained committed to APC who took him to power after three efforts failed in 2015.

He also refused the rumors about the rift between Buhari and President of the Tinubu Ball ‘.

The former President’s assistant emphasized that claims about the tense relationship between the two leaders were purely speculative.

Shehu said: “When people have the right to hold their own opinions, and your own interpretation of it is purely your own rights.

“I do not think in the formal and official sense of anyone will talk about distrust or distrust or façade between the Buhari government and the Tinubu government.

“For Muhammadu Buhari, for him, he is basically a member of APC.

“He did not forget the fact that he ran one, two, three times and failed to get the presidency until they united APC.

“APC came together and gave him two terms, which he remained grateful, and said – and that was what I had learned from him – ‘I will never not be grateful. I will never betray a party that gives me two terms in the office.

“We see a statement; we read it when people say these things. Are we disturbed? I don’t think that word.

“It takes a lot of things, energy, and sacrifice for APC has been applied, so that the elements of opposition that are desperate to gather.

“They tried one, two, three times, and they failed. But at this time, they gathered in 2014, formed a party, and ran in 2014. They won.”
