German police arrested three more suspects in the alleged coup plot related to the right wing movement, Prince

The German authorities have arrested three additional suspects in connection with the right -wing coup plot which aims to overthrow the government and install a German nobleman, Prince Heinrich XIII Reuss, as the new head of state.

The arrest was announced on Thursday by the police and prosecutors in Munich, bringing fresh momentum for the ongoing investigation which had caused the charges of 27 leaders suspected, some of whom were being tried in Munich, Stuttgart, and Frankfurt.

According to the prosecutor, the first conspiracy was discovered in December 2022-Diplopored by people related to the Reichsbürger (Reich Citizen) movement, extremist networks and weapons fans who rejected modern German legitimacy and advocates to return to the pre-war structure of World II.

The authorities said the conspirators had planned to attack the German Parliament (Bundestag), seized power, and established Prince Reus as Head of State. The plot that was reportedly benefited the conspiracy theory, including trust that was in harmony with the Qanon movement, and included the creation of “enemy lists”.

The three men who were arrested Thursday were part of the group consisting of six people suspected of being “terrorist organizations” and “preparations for high betrayal,” the police and prosecutors said in Munich in a statement.

The arrest followed the coordinated police operation involving around 300 officers who carried out raids in Bavaria, Saxony, and Thuringia. According to the investigator, the newly detained suspect was accused of participating in firearms training in the former military facility in Bavaria in April 2022 – the training was believed to be preparation for the planned attack on the Bundestag.

The prosecutor suspects the training in preparation for the planned attack on the Bundestag, or the Low Parliament Assembly, in Berlin.

A broader alleged conspiracy has involved several famous people, including former German alternative party members (AFD), former Lieutenant Colonel Army, and former commandos of the Elite KSK Special Forces Unit allegedly bound to a failed coup.

In December 2022, the police arrested Reuss themselves and other main suspects in the plot.

The investigation continues to reveal the depth of the plot, which the prosecutor is described as a serious threat to the German democratic order, driven by extremist ideology, military style training, and ambitions to overthrow the federal government.
