Golf Kitty for the day of independence: Adeleke, OyinLola, Badmus, others ask for the participation of the private sector in sports promotion

The founder of the Golf field Ile-Gabo, Engr. Holrewaju Abel Adeleke, his wife, lawyer Udochukwu Adeleke, former governor of the state of Osun, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Asiwaju Muslims of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, Alhaji Khamis Tunde Badmus have asked for private participation in the participation and development sector.

The interested veterans golfers made the call to the Special Sport Tournament tagged “Independent Golf Kitty 2025” organized and sponsored by the management of the Lanreleke Sports Academy, Ile-Gabo, area of ​​the local government of Ayedire, state of Osun.

Speaking during the event, Eng. Holrewaju Adeleke has supported better participation in sports by the most Nigerians to integrate government efforts, stating that “so that Nigeria is effectively competing globally, all hands must be on the bridge to support the government at all levels”.

“Today is the day of independence and for us here at the Lanreleke Sports Academy, we celebrate the day with an annual golf kitten. We have competitions here to bring out the best from our people, both professionals and amateurs. We also have the cat update field for golfers to encourage the link between the golfers.

“To advance sports in the country, greater participation in the private sector is needed in addition to the government’s intervention. The Lanreleke Sports Academy has young Nigerians in SS1 in SS3 that follow courses in different sports such as athletics, football, basketball, portable ball, volleyball, among others.

“We started with 20 members, but today we have 105. The academy is managed by the subscription and sponsorship of the members.

“We trained the expert staff inside and outside this country that manages this course and all the challenges we have found we were able to face fronts with the expert direction in progress.

“While it is up to the government to create a qualifying environment, it is the participation of the private sector that will create more opportunities in sport.” Adeleke supported.

The former governor of the state of Osun, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola has applauded the management of the Lanreleke Sports Academy for their consistency and commitment to promote sports in the country.

Oyinlola said: “The reason to be part of this event is to identify with Encr Adeleke’s efforts in promoting sport in Osun and Nigeria, in particular the game of golf. As an individual, the establishment of an academy here in which the old people are taught and young people are learning, there is no magic to produce world stars except through this type of effort.

“We want to raise awareness of all the Nigerians that there is a part to be carried out in the promotion of sport in the country. No magic leaders will produce stars of the world, but where there are structures of this nature to govern our talents in grass to represent us in world events in order to honor us in the world. Access to Chief Tunde Ponle and Adeleke, nobody knows that a world -class sports can come from there.”

Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, Alhaji Tunde Badmus, also enhanced the founder of the Lanreleke Sports Academy for the promotion of sports in the country and in addition to saying “we are proud of the enormous contributions of this academy to local, national and international sports activities”.

The co-founder, Lanreleke Sports Academy, lawyer (Mrs) Udochukwu Adeleke, said that the purpose of the annual sports tournament is to celebrate the day of independence with the maximum goal of making sports in the country advance.

“We always have a golf tournament on a significant day like this where we have champions throughout the country for the tournament. Apart from the golf course we also have educational structures here, we have a secondary school of the Wold class. As you can see, that there are here. Even a non -governmental organization in support of the health sector,” he said.

The event was attended by golfers and sports stars such as, former deputy governor, Benedict Alabi, speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Wale Egbedun, Justice Jide Falola (RTD.), Legend of world football, Mutiu appaju, captain of the navy Lateef Kolawole Jimh (Rtd.), Justice Kola Adegoke, Oba Dairo Jacob Olutayo, among others.
