Gov Eno stated the emergency in the health sector of Akwa Ibom

Governor Akwa Ibom, Umo Eno, has stated an emergency in the health sector.

The Governor’s Decree follows a review of the administrative health development road map.

Commissioner of State for Information, Bpk. Aniekan Umanah, revealed this at the end of the meeting of the State Executive Council held at the Government Building, Uyo, on Saturday.

That step, according to him, is to accelerate reform and ensure the provision of efficient health care in accordance with the agenda of the emergence of administration.

Umanah said the main direction under emergency included an increase in medical facilities that were expanded throughout the state.

He added that the reopening of the health care recruitment portal to involve 2,000 workers was approved, with the requirements of the voter identity card for the released applicant.
