State Governor Akwa Ibom, Umo Eno, on Thursday told state commissioners and other political appointed people to join him at the Congress of All Progressive (APC) or resign from their position.
The Governor gave direction during the State Executive Council in Uyo.
He said the person appointed was not obliged to join him at APC, but they would not remain in his cabinet while on the other hand.
Thus, the development confirmed the rumors about the change of ENO to come to APC after he described the Democratic Party as the wrong aircraft earlier this month.
He said: “There is no news that I move the party, if you don’t know now, I don’t know what else you know.

“So, we want our commissioners and excos members, who are appointed; I was told that some of you said that you would not come, you are free, really free not to join me. But you will not be in the executive council of my country.
“So, you better get ready to resign on the day I announce that I moved because you are the person appointed and your loyalty is to me. You cannot be in my cabinet and play anti -party. This is not a threat, that is what it is. I will not ask you to come, you usually don’t even expect it.
“I like PDP, I want to stay at PDP, but obviously, I don’t have a road map to ensure that I will be able to have a smooth screen in the election, not because we will not win the election.
“In this state today, with the work we have all done, even if we compete at a zero party, we will win this election. There is no doubt about it. We have worked very hard, but we know that at the national level that our party is not united.”
