The 13th inaugural lecture of the Federal University Dutsin-ma (FUD), Katsina State, will be held today, at the Professor Lawal Audu Saulawa Auditorium, take-off campus, Dutsin-ma.
A press release signed by the Chairman of the Inaugural Professors Conference Committee, Professor Mohammed Umar Sanda, states that the topic of the conference is: “Demystifying Traditional Barbing (Wanzanci) in Hausaland: Islamic Influence and 21st Century Challenges.”
He said the lecturer is Bashir Aliyu Sallau (Sarkin Askar Yariman Katsina), Professor of Hausa Cultural Studies, Department of Hausa, Faculty of Arts, Federal University, Dutsin-Ma.
He added that the chair of the event is the vice-chancellor of Dutsin-ma Federal University, Professor Mohammed Khalid Othman, FNIAE.
