Gov Kefas praises 6 sacrifices of brigade troops in the state of Taraba
… requires deeper loyalty, devotion
Jalingo (basic reporter) in the context of national celebrations that mark the celebration of the day of the Nigerian army of 2025 (Nadcel), the governor of the state of Taraba, his excellence dr. Agbu Kefas, he praised the unshakable dedication, the professionalism and sacrifices of the troops of the 6 Nigerian army of brigade in maintaining the state of Taraba, safe for citizens and not the citizens.
The governor made him known during the interdenomination church service NADCEL held on June 29, 2025 at the Salvatation Baptist Church, Jalingo.
While addressed to troops, dignitaries and faithful Christians present, the same governor, a retired military officer, reaffirmed his infundant support for the Nigerian army, describing it as his “first electoral college”. He praised the head of the army staff (Coas), the lieutenant general Olampami Olatunbosun Oluyede, for his visionary leadership despite the enormous security challenges that face the country and proudly declared: “I am very proud of the army of 6 Nigerian brigades”.
Governor Kefas stressed that the strength of the military lies in the well -being, loyalty and spiritual devotion of his staff. He accused officers and soldiers of remaining engaged not only for the Nigerian army, but also to God and constituted the authority, observing that “our loyalty and dedication to God is our greatest strength”. He ensured the brigade of continuous support from the state government and offered prayers for both staff and retired staff.
Previously in his observations, the commander 6 Brigade of the Nigerian army/sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke, the brigade General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, highlighted the theme for the celebration of this year: “Develop the first concept of Soldier: imperative for the transformation of the Nigerian army”. He praised his troops for their discipline, resilience and operational successes, attributing most of their results to the support of the government of the state of Taraba and the goodwill of traditional institutions and citizens. He also extended a special appreciation to the wives of the military personnel for their strength in keeping the front of the house.
By presenting the sermon, the deputy director, 6 brigade chaplains (Protestant), the major reverend S. Samaila, spoke of the theme “The loyalty of a soldier as a catalyst for transformation”. He urged the staff to remain loyal, disciplined and spiritually stable, adding that the true transformation in the army begins with the inner dedication to the duty and God.
The event was marked with vibrant presentations of songs and dance by various groups of churches and the best government officials, traditional sovereigns, clergy, garments of paramilitary and security agencies and members of the Wives Association (Naowa) of the officers of the Nigerian army (Naowa) participated.
