Gov Otti lifts a 10 -year promotion embargo at Abia Polytechnic

The Governor of the State of Abia, Alex Otti from Abia, has raised an embargo on the promotion of Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic (Previously Abia Polytechnic) ABA.

The government of the former Governor of Okezie IKPeazu placed an embargo on the promotion of staff at the Polytechnic in 2015.

Head of the Press Secretary for the Governor, Ukoha Njoku, revealed this in a statement on Tuesday in Umuahia.

The Governor also approved all accumulated promotions of the institution staff.

He was the same -the same as removing the practice of “national promotion” in the Polytechnic.

“The Polytechnic staff respects the governor for fulfilling his promise to finance the 33 -month salary arrears that owe them by the government of the past.

“They are also grateful to him for implementing their salary payments regularly when and when due and put infrastructure and steps to improve institutional standards,” the statement added.
