The governor of the nasarawa state, Abdullahi Sule, has denied reports about his intention to compete for the senator seat in the 2027 election.
Sule reacts to speculation that he has formed a committee for his 2027 senator ambitions.
In a statement issued at Seldau by the Head of his Press Secretary, Ibrahim Addra, the Governor described the report as a direct fake.
The statement reads: “In fact, there are several calls by individuals and groups to the governor to declare interest and nominate themselves for the Senate for the North Nasarawa constituents in 2027.
“In all cases, Sule politely but firmly rejected such a call, maintaining that his attention remained focused on the delivery of his agreement with the people of the nasarawa as a democratic elected governor.”
“While the governor appreciates all the love and support of friends and supporters, it is better to be declared again that he never confirmed to anyone that he was running to any office.
“Sule is grateful for the support he enjoyed from the population of the state.
“However, related to giving advice to his full supporters to assist the Governor in giving his mandate at this time.”
