Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has handed over the truckload of confiscated goods to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Independent Corruption Eradication Commission (ICRC) for investigation.
The governor, according to a statement issued on Wednesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, asked the anti-corruption agency at the forum to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
A truck carrying relief supplies meant for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency was intercepted by security agencies while unloading at a private house along Kilometre 2 in Makurdi recently.

Following the discovery, the governor seized the truck and moved it to Government House to ascertain why the aid meant for the constituency was dropped off at a private residence in Makurdi.
Investigations later revealed that the aid loaded from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) warehouse in Jos, Plateau State, was delivered to a private residence on the direction of the Member of the House of Representatives, Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency, Terseer Ugbor.
