The Plateau State government has lifted the curfew imposed on the Jos-Bukuru metropolis in the state.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang imposed a 24-hour curfew in the area following looting and destruction of property by hoodlums during the latest #EndBadGovernance protests in the state.
He later reviewed the curfew in response to the improving security situation in the area.
The governor’s Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, said in a statement on Thursday in Jos that the principal took the decision after thorough consultation with security agencies in the state.

The statement read: “Governor Mutfwang expressed gratitude to the people for their steadfastness, patriotism and cooperation during this challenging time and assured them of his unwavering commitment to their welfare.
“He also commended security personnel for their dedication and effective enforcement of the curfew.”
