The permanent secretary of the Ministry of State of information, tourism and culture of Nasarawa, the lawyer Yusuf Musa, was kidnapped by his residence in Tudun Gwanfara, Lafia, the capital of the state.
Some armed men who brandish Ak-47 followed the maximum government official and have kidnapped him strongly while trying to open the gate at his house at the time of his return from a trip.
The police command in the state of Nasarawa described the accident as a suspicious kidnapping.
According to the police, “a patrol team of division B, Lafia, discovered a peugeot pick-up van with the doors left open in a suspicious way around 3:00 on Tuesday.
“Further checks revealed that the victim’s residence gate was also Ajar, raising serious security concerns. A subsequent search for the premises confirmed that the permanent secretary was missing, and also his GMC vehicle, with the Kuj 88 PA registration number, was disappeared, further indicating a possible kidnapping.
“In response, the police commissioner, the CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, immediately ordered the activation of the tactical operations. The divisions and police units in Akwanga, Sama, Garaku and Kadarko were notified and the surveillance teams were unfolded to comb the strategic routes in an offer to save the victim and increased.
The police commissioner has reassured the public of determining the command to guarantee the safe save of the victim and the arrest of the managers.
