Gusau Varsity gets the first female chancellor

The Government Council of the Federal University, Gusau, a state of Zamfara, has approved the appointment of Hajiya Nafisa Barau Suleiman, as a third substantial registrar of the University.

This was contained in a declaration signed by the head of the media and communication committee, dr. Linus Akor.

Dr. Akor said that the appointment of the new chancellor was approved at the 29th meeting of the Council held from Tuesday 22 April to Friday 25 April 2025 in Abuja.

Hajiya Nafisa Barau Suleiman, who obtained a degree in English at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University (UDUS), Sokoto, is the first female recorder of the 12 -year institution.

Before his appointment, Hajiya NB Suleiman had acted as Registration, after completing the mandate of the former Registrar, Malam Yakubu Anivbassa, Tuesday 4 February 2025.

Hajiya Suleiman was also the deputy chancellor in the deputy chancellor office, head of the administrative and daily related activities of the office.

He also worked as a faculty officer, the faculty of humanities and education before two.
