Erling Haaland was on target for Manchester City as they beat Chelsea 2-0 in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
In an effort that was later checked for offside, Haaland rounded Marc Cucurella and slotted the ball past the goalkeeper to put City ahead in the 18th minute. The goal stood.
Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson thought he had scored an equaliser late in the first half but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Phil Foden came on in the second half after not starting for City, replacing debutant Savinho, who was bought before the start of the season.
With the game almost over, former Chelsea star Mateo Kovacic fired home from 25 yards to double City’s lead in the 84th minute.
Manchester City, who won the Premier League last season for the fourth time in a row, now begin their latest bid to retain the title with a big win.
In another Premier League match played on Sunday, Brentford beat Crystal Palace 2-1.
