
Popular Nigerian cryptocurrency entrepreneur, Linus Williams Ifejirika, widely known as Blord, has been detained at Kuje Correctional Center for allegedly impersonating social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly called VeryDarkMan.
Blord was remanded in custody following his arraignment before the Federal High Court of Nigeria in Abuja on Thursday, April 1, 2026.
The accusation is multiple, including identity theft and forgery.
The court ordered that he be kept in custody for 26 days pending further proceedings.
Reacting to the development, VeryDarkMan shared a video on his social media page showing Blord being escorted from the court premises to the penitentiary.
According to him, Blord allegedly forged airline tickets with his name and falsely claimed to have paid him ₦500 million to act as a brand ambassador.
He also alleged that Blord used his image on billboards and promotional materials without his consent, supporting the approval of some business ventures.
The case has since attracted widespread attention on social media, with many Nigerians reacting to the charges and the court’s decision to remand the businessman in custody.
