Studies on the college of Harvede, Obada, Abekuta, Ogun State, Ogun State, has announced his readiness to start the National Upper National Diploma (HND) in law, with his proposal already presented at the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
The provision of the institution, Dr. Oluwatosin Adebayo, revealed it during a press conference and a tour of the structure organized by the public relations and strategic communications of the school.
According to Adebayo, Harvarde College is among the selected institutions scheduled for the inspection of NBTE resources, a critical step towards full accreditation to offer Hnd in law. The development follows the recent approval of the NBTE for two Polytechnics to start the national diploma (ND) in law.
He added “in the next two years, these institutions, including ours, should start the Hnd in law,” said Adreravo. “We have already presented our proposal and we are ready to satisfy the NBTE standards.”
He observed that the institution had undergone significant reforms in infrastructure, curriculum and development of the faculty promptly to this academic expansion.
During the tour of the structure, journalists were shown at the cutting -edge resources including radio and digital television studios for the mass communication department, a clinic, an ICT center that lived over 400 multimedia systems and a modern banking laboratory.
Dr. Adebayo also highlighted the transformation of the college from a university study center into a completely accredited polytechnic that offers both ND and HND programs, adding that the institution has resisted the past challenges and is now focused on the construction of capacity and innovation.
“We are not only expanding our programs, but also by investing in technology -based education,” he said.
“Our classrooms are completely air conditioned, our teachers are subject to continuous training and we are exploiting digital platforms, virtual and increased reality and e-learning systems to provide 21st century education.”
He also underlined the partnerships of the institution with local and international industries and institutions aimed at promoting research, entrepreneurship and staff development.
The Hearde College, he underlined, remains fully engaged in regulatory compliance with agencies such as NBTE, Jamb and ITF, affirming that all programs undergo an accreditation and a regular re-checking.
While asking for a renewed commitment to educational progress in the southwestern region, Dr. Aderavo urged the parties interested in supporting institutions such as Harvarda College in the construction of the inheritance of academic excellence placed in past generations.
“As an academic institution committed to preparing students for tomorrow’s leadership, we urge all parties interested in combining the reconstruction and strengthening of education in our region,” he said.
