He arrests police traffickers, save 3 children from the abduction attempts

The State Police Command of Nasarawa has foiled an attempt to traffic of minors in Mararaba, following the rapid intervention of its agents who led to the arrest of a suspicion and the safe rescue of three children.

On 04/09/2025 at about 1745 hours, a rescue call was received according to which an Aisha Hashiru, female, 22 years old, was arrested by the members of the public in Orange Market, Mararaba, while trying to kidnap three minors. He was about to be lynched when the Mararaba division police officer “a” division, playing promptly on the relationship, mobilized his patrol team on the scene, saved both the suspicion that the children and transferred them to the station for safety.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspicion had sneaked into the residence of Ramatu Auwal (female) of the orange market at the beginning of that day at about 1700 hours and kidnapped its three children:

Fatima Auwal, female, 4 years old, Shafiyi auwal, male, 5 years old and Amina auwal, male, 6 years old.

Nemesis, however, reached it when it was intercepted by vigilant members of the public. After the interrogation, the suspicion confessed to attracting children on the pretext of buying them biscuits.

The police commissioner, the state command of Nasarawa, directed that the case was transferred to the Department of State Criminal Investigation (Scid), Lafia, for discreet investigations. He also accused officers of intensifying the efforts to reveal other reported cases of disappeared children and to strengthen the struggle of the command against the section of human beings throughout the state.
