Heartland Queens FC wins the last game of 2024/25 NWFL.

Heartland Queens yesterday at Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri defeated the Amazons Amazons of Nasarawa by 2-1 in the NWFL Day 14 match.

Visitors came into play with a rich credential that won the game against Edo Queens at home and qualifying to play in the Super Six.

The owners of Owerri of Owerri lost their last game in Dannaz Ladies in Lagos of 0-1 and therefore were determined to do it well against the Solid Miners Ladies.

The game started as expected and the teams immediately entered business while indicating the interest in choosing the three points at stake.

The two teams were refused to be separated up to the 36th minute since the home team received a penalty that was clinically converted by Faith Samson to put his team in front.

The Amazons returned after concluding the goal of fighting tenaciously to redeem their image, but all their efforts proved to be abortion while the home team kept the status until the end of the first half.

After the recovery of the second half and halfway into the game, the Amarawa Amazons made two quick changes such as Adasoji and J. Mathais entered the team, a few minutes after the changes, faith, Samson came to clarify a goal with his mouth in the visitors’ area to score the second goal for the Queens.

Not satisfied with what was happening, for the technical crew of the Amazons, he introduced two other players, Bello and Akekuramuid to help their attack, which in reality visitors were able to reduce the tall through a header through a corner kick in moments of dyeing the game.

Visitors continued to mount the pressure to see if they are able to level up and a clear cut opportunity has arrived asking for the Amazons since their striker gangling had the goalkeeper of the goals

3 minutes more time were dedicated after the expiry of 90 minutes of the game and the Amazons came out completely at this point, terrifying the home teams but for the agility of the goalkeeper who was among the sticks.

The funny meeting remained with the score line until the referee asked for the end of the game.

The OBBALA Girls coach OBI now will shift attention to the 2025 Federation Cup of the Federation of 16 against a relatively unknown part Oimarge FC in Benin City on the weekend.
