Heartland Queens feeding team that is destined to resume, has announced the open tests

The Ministry of State Sport IMO has announced the resumption of activities for Heartland Queens power team in view of the football season 2025/2026.

According to the press release signed by the permanent secretary, Dr. Dorothy Utazi, the team of the team will open on Thursday 18 September 2025, with the first training session scheduled for the following day, on Friday 19 September, at 10:00.

In an attempt to further develop women’s football, the ministry has also opened the doors to aspiring talents. Footists aged between 14 and 18, both inside and outside the IMO state, are invited to take part in an open process of a week aimed at scouting and feeding of young perspectives.

The tests will take place from 24 to 30 September 2025, at the old stadium, Tetlow Road, Owerri, with activities that start every day at 8:00.

“This is a great opportunity for girls who dream of playing professional football to come forward and show their skills,” said the ministry.

The initiative is part of the constant state efforts to promote basic sporting development and create paths for athletes who get up on the professional phase.
