How good can Ebenezer Harcourt be?

There is a star in creation and its name Ebenezer Ifeanyi Harcourt.

Nigerian football has seen a gleaming past of sensational goalkeepers, from Best Ogedegbe to Emmanuel Okala, Wilfred Agbonavbare, Peter Rufai and Vincent Enyeama.

The crafts itself is not as imagined as the role of a number 10 or the best striker, after all, overcoming your opponent is how you earn games, and the Nigerians are obsessed with winning.

However, the recently concluded U20 AFCONWhere Nigeria ended in third place and hit a World Cup ticket, offered the opportunity to see a generational talent in Harcourt.

The 15 -year -old cut his teeth early and perfected his skills under the tutelage of his father, who was a professional cap.

Harcourt exudes so much confidence that his young experience at club or national team exceeds.

With a stealth approach, moving alert and an acute reaction, it seems that the child was born in that way instead of teaching.

During the Flying Eagles campaign in Egypt, Harcourt served as the first option for Aliyu Zubairu and was a couple of safe and reliable hands.

While there are aspects of his game that still seem raw, and we hope he will mark the box for a modern goalkeeper and yet it retains the conventionalism of an adequate goal.

Perhaps the greatest advantage of his game is his calm and ability to think about his feet in seconds.

This was evident in its two penalty salvages during the quarterfinal match against the defenders champions, Senegal.

Nigeria won the shooting, 3-1, to reserve a place in the U20 World Cup in Chile, and Harcourt was really a flying eagle: the star.

It is only a matter of time before I can take a look at the coach of the Super Eagles, Eric Chelle, while the gears of their transition team are launched.

Harcourt has the richness of his father’s experience in his peak, but even more he can be driven by the ambition of someday becoming the goalkeeper of Nigeria’s first option, even at the level of older men.

The time and their work ethics will say it and the guidance of their coaches could make sure it remains firm on the way to update even bigger goals.
