That Dera Dera – A comedy special of Eme Chidera Eme Chidera is a better known Nigerian comedian for her unforgettable role as Professor Rufus in Benji Benji from Basketmouth. But beyond the screen and drilling lines is a story: a full of fears, dreams, failures and faith. In his special comedy debut that Dera (an intelligent turn in the phrase “what it will be, it will be”), Eme Chidera withdraws the curtain in his life, inviting you to a deeply personal and hilariously raw reflection on what means to pursue a purpose in a world that rarely makes sense. From children’s asthma and early hypertension to the change of careers of the lawyer to the comedian, Eme is immersed in chaos and the comedy of becoming. It opens on growing in a Nigerian house, the fear of never “doing it” and the many dreams that once celebrated, from piloting planes to scoring goals in the football field. This is more than jokes. This is stories narration. This is heart. This is hope. Whether you have doubted yourself, you have felt lost in the search for success or simply need a reason to laugh through the madness of life, this special is for you. Look. Laugh. Feel. Believe. 🎤 That Dera Dera – what it will be, it will be … but first, let’s joke about it.
Now he got more reactions playing the Nigerian comedian than doing his thing. But then when you reason it, "his thing" is playing the role so excellently. ****Takes another sip of the blunt!
His jokes are too intelligent for Nigerians.
Just wow, so good
I laughed with tears in my eyes man. Lmaoo
Honestly, a lot of the jokes are either 18+ or not so funny. Maybe be good to add a disclaimer.
However, he’s got good delivery though
This guy is actually a Nigerian…I'm so proud….Nigerians are special!
Pure talent!! 😂😂😂
E get as e dey do me 😂😂😂
One of the best I've seen
Incredible! I mean what else do you expect from a basketmouth’s page? Just class act as always. And once again basket is clearly changing the game and acts like this is the future of stand up comedy. Comedy is not all about being lousy or being noisy. Comedy is not about making fun of the audience. Comedy is not people laughing at you, Comedy is people laughing with you and also gaining life lessons and inspiration from your story.
A comedian is skilled enough to make the audience laugh with him
A fool is skilled enough to make the audience laugh at him
In both occasions the audience are laughing but only one is truly comedy 🎭
It is art 🖼️
Versatile guy 😂😂❤

Nice one, Chidera! To be honest, when I first saw you in skits, I had no idea you could also do stand-up comedy. This is truly amazing! No wonder Basketmouth has his eyes on you. Your creativity is at its peak! ✨
One of the best standup comedy specials
What did the heckler say at? 17:55
Tell me that writing QUE QUE DERA instead of QUE DERA DERA is a second play on words and not a typographical error
True stuff, perspective is a bit different for people that come from good homes and all the support was there, you jidt see life different, like you almost don't habe problems….🤔
The future of Nigeria comedy is safe
Really enjoyed this. Chidera Dera dera
The first time I saw your comedy man!… who came to my mind was Trevor Noah of South Africa.
You are doing well bro.

Eme Chidera displayed comedic genius. I didn’t get bored at any point. He has to be amongst top 10 comedians in Nigeria. He needs more visibility.
