INEC National Commissioner in charge of Edo, Prof. Rhoda Gumus, has said she will not collect any bribe to overturn the results of the state governorship election.
While speaking on Channels TV, Gumus boasted that no one would dare approach her with a bribe because of her reputation.
In his words;
“I am responsible for Edo. I want to do the right thing, even if I’m not everywhere. We will conduct these elections in a free, fair and credible manner. I can’t accept bribes, no matter how much. I don’t have to take billions to do what’s right.
Nowhere, no one will try. No one will test me. You know, whatever office you’re in in this country they know everything about you. And when they know it they won’t come closer. If I see it, I won’t allow it.
You will not believe that since we started this process every day, I am on the platform with the EoCs. At intervals of five minutes, two minutes, five minutes, I will enter the platform to know what is happening. If there is anything I would correct. This is what I did.
