● Praise the leaders of the faith for the religious tolerance of Ogun
The Governor of the State of Ogun, Prince Dapo Inhabitun, praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his bold and bold steps in removing subsidies and ensuring that the market forces determine the exchange rates and not the government.
Governor inhabedun said that the president’s bold move was already repaying with the downward trend in food, fuel and inflation prices, especially during the month of Ramadan.
Prince inhaboun, who declared him during the special IFTAR (Breaking of Fast) with the Lega of Imam and Alfas to the presidential loggia, Abekuta, the governor observed that it is the first time in the history of Nigeria that the prices of food products and other products and other products are going down during the month of Ramadan.
“Recently, I was praising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for doing what the other presidents before him could not do.
“Your first day in the office, you removed the subsidy. Subsequently, as regards the issue of exchange rates, some will buy it at different rates; You removed the government’s hand and said that the market forces must from now on determine the exchange rate and for this there is now a convergence of the exchange rates. Everyone in Nigeria now have a exchange rate.
“Looking at it, from 20 to 22 months along the road, to the glory of God, with your wisdom, tenacity, foresight and your renewed initiative of hope, this is the first time in the history of this country that we will fast while the cost of food is descending.
“Food prices are actually a reduction trend. The exchange rates have been stable in the last 15-16 months and predictable.
“Even the inflation, of which we were all afraid, is going down. The price of gasoline also drops every week. I congratulate him with this undertaking, “he said.
The governor also stated that the religious tolerance that is enjoyed in the state is the manual work of the leaders of faith in the construction of the right paths for the faithful and young people through inspiring messages of hope, love and peace.
He observed that the State has not had any form of crisis linked to religious intolerance since he became governor in 2019.
He said that the League of Imams and Alfas played a significant role in ensuring that the young people of the state are well polite, making it possible for its administration to continue to govern without any form of disorder.
He added that the messages of clerics contributed to softening the hearts of many young people of the state and also made them partner in the push of the development of his government.
“We appreciated religious tolerance in the state of Ogun; We have had no form of crisis linked to religious intolerance. Christians are doing their own, Muslims are doing their own. We are all doing things together.
“While talking to our children in mosques, he passes through his ears, their bodies and makes them behave in the right way. This is what has allowed us to the government to lead the business of governance very well without any form of a disturbance because without peace, we will not be able to govern; Without peace, there will be no significant development in the state.
“I want to thank our great chief IMAMS and all the imams and Alfas who are here to preach peace, for guiding our young people, for tutoring and making sure they are well polite, ensuring that there is religious tolerance in all religions in the state of Ogun. This has contributed significantly to our socio-economic development as a state, “he said.
Governor inhaboun also promised that the secretariat for the League of Imams and Alfas, which his administration promised to build, would have been built and commissioned before the expiry of his mandate.
