The Orijeru of the Kingdom of Igbooye, Oba Abdulrasaq Akanni Musa has been formally invested and admitted in the EPE Council of Obas and leaders.
The investiture ceremony took place during the recent general meeting of the Council held at the Secretariat of the Local Government of the Ape.
The investiture is historical as it is exactly a year after the kingdom has formally presented Prince Abdulrasaq Akanni Musa to the esteemed advice of Obas and garments for their approval, as part of the initial process that leads to the possible installation and presentation of the staff of the State Government.

He was chaired by the president, HRM Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun, Epe’s Oloja.

In his observations, Oba Animashaun warmly welcomed the HRM Oba (Tpl.) Abdulrasaq Akanni Musa in the fold of traditional sovereigns within the division.
He also offered words of encouragement and fervent prayers, wishing him a reign of success and of great impact as Orijeru of the Kingdom of Igbooye.
Following the investiture, the HRM Oba Abdulrasaq Akanni Musa hosted a short but symbolic reception at the Orijeru building, where he met the main interested parties of the Kingdom of Igbooye, including the BaaLes’s Igbooye Council.
During the meeting, the Orijeru made a great announcement on the appointment of traditional leaders who will act as pillars of traditional governance and cultural management within the kingdom.
The main traditional leaders are as follows: Capoulbariu Olugbenga paintings like Olisa; Cape Moruff Oluwadare salami like Egbo; Capo Rufus adiDipe as aare; Capo Yinkka Oguntimehin in the role of Balogun and Capo Rasaq Sanni as Otun.
They also include the chief of the Holyrers Adubanjo as Eleku; Capo Adgbenro Otunnowo as Oluti; Capo (Mrs.) Silifatu Amadasun as Iyalode; And Mrs. Omola Odusanya-Omoso as Erelu.
In his speech, Oba Akanni Musa stressed that the selection of these garments reflects the cultural traditions and the official declaration that regulate the kingdom of Igbooye.
He reiterated that every house in power and neighborhoods of the kingdom have been duly represented to guarantee equity, equity and inclusion in the traditional governance structure.
He also observed that, in addition to these fundamental events, there are positions for the heads of head of honorary to be conferred on distinct and respectable and non -indigenous natives of Igbooye.
However, all future honors will undergo a rigorous screening process to ensure that they can have an exceptional moral character and are able to support the honor and dignity of the kingdom.
This historical day reports a renewed commitment to tradition, unity and progressive leadership in the kingdom of Igbooye.
It was a moment that celebrates both cultural continuity and a vision full of hope for the future.
