Police Inspector General, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered the direct withdrawal of Mobile Force (PMF) police officers from private people throughout the country.
IGP, according to a statement issued by the Troop Community Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, gave direction at a meeting with the PMF squadron commander at the Troop Headquarters, Abuja, on Tuesday.
He condemned the assignment of PMF operators to escort and maintain tasks for VIP and private people throughout the country.
He also announced a series of reforms, including quarterly ethics and professionalism training, and the compulsory standby of the unit that was complete and ready for combat
