Ilechukwu: Rangers will win more laurels next season

Rangers head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu is optimistic that the Flying Antelopes will win more laurels next season.

The Enugu club is still in good spirits after clinching the 2023/24 Nigerian Premier Football League title.

Rangers defeated Gombe United 2-1 in their final match of the campaign at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday.

Ilechukwu is already looking forward to next season and hopes the Coal City team has another successful campaign.

“This is a great day for all of us at Rangers and we give the glory to God,” Ilechukwu said after the win against Gombe United.

“This is a victory for the government and people of Enugu State who supported us through thick and thin until we got to where we are today as champions of the Nigerian Premier Football League.

“We hope to add some legs to this team to compete for national and continental honors next season effectively.”
