Paul Ibe, a media aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has warned the President of the Tinubu Bola to improve the battered economy of Nigeria and his problematic government -in the middle of interfere with opposition affairs.
President Tinubu on Thursday, during his speech at the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the Congress of All Progressive (APC) in Abuja, swiping at him at the African Democratic Congress (ADC) supported by the coalition, described it as a “coalition of confusion”.
“It is not a bad idea to leave a drowning ship and is not in the confusion coalition,” said Tinubu, a statement that was interpreted as an effort to discredit the opposition to his government and encourage defense to the APC.
When reacting to the statement by Tinubu in a post that he shared on his X account on Friday, Ibe said the President had to face the work that Nigeria chose to do it and stop poking his nose into the affairs of the opposition.
“At the 14th APC meeting today, the President of the Tinubu Bola took another friction at the African Democratic Congress (ADC), the opposition coalition platform,” Ibe wrote.
“Attacking the opposition has now become his favorite hobby -even when the country caught fire under his supervision. The attack continued -continuously against this opposition was a disturbance by a man who was clearly overwhelmed by the chaos in his own home.
“The first Tinubu President must first sort out a clear rift between him and Vice President Kashim Shettima and Nigerian economy that were damaged before poking his nose into ADC affairs.
“We want to declare for the note that Tinubu and his political camp have sponsored the crisis in the opposition parties. This defeats our imagination about why the presidency is reasonable to dispose of rare public funds to generate internal conflicts in an effort to weaken alternative political votes.
“We are fully aware that the tensions that should be between supporters of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi in the coalition are regulated by the President. Unfortunately for them, the game of dividing them has failed – cracks have been sealed, and the coalition stands stronger than before.
“It is very worrying that more than half of the way to its controversial mandate and is widely rejected, Tinubu still leads the APC government without direction, incompetent, and completely cut off from the suffering of ordinary Nigerians.
“While the Nigerians wrestled with a sense of insecurity, hunger, and worsening poverty, Tinubu was busy playing small politics. He had left the government and was fixed on the 2027 anniversary campaign even though he had nothing to be shown for his mandate in 2023.
“Instead of destroying bandits that destroyed the beans, plateau, zamfara, niger, and other states, Tinubu was more interested in destroying the voices of opposition.
“He now uses a state institution-especially an anti-corruption agency-as a tool to harass and blackmail the opposition leaders to join APC.
“But let the truth be told: Tinubu is afraid of the coalition. He knows it is a coalition that will make him packed back to Bourdillon or Iragbiji.”
