In Jos, the president Tinubu ensures Christians in the north of equity while paying homage to APC Nat. President President, Lydia – Thage

On Saturday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu said he had the mission to unite the Nigerians and ensured Christian communities in northern Nigeria for the commitment of his administration in guaranteeing the equity among all the religions of the country.

President Tinubu gave certainty during his meeting with some Christian leaders at the headquarters of the Church of Cocin in Jos, in the State of the Plateau.

“I have the mission to unite this country, guarantee its prosperity and we are making progress,” said the president.

The president, while paying tribute to the mother of the national president of the APC, Nana Lydia Yilwatda, who died at the age of 83, said: “In our family, we have a strong Muslim background and I married a Christian, a shepherd for that matter, and I never forced her to change her religion”.

He urged the priests to trust his administration. According to him, as a leader, we have the responsibility of managing religious issues for everyone’s benefit.

The president affirmed his administration’s commitment to face insecurity in the country, in particular in the fight against terrorism and the bandits.

‘We are defeating the bandits and we will defeat them. We will deal with them and fight the clashes of the farmers, “said the president.

The president said that his administration is renewing the economy for the benefit of all the Nigerians.

President Tinubu described the deceased Nana Lydia Yilwatda as a devoted mother during funeral prayers.

“The story behind this church is rooted in faith with a profound acceptance in the Lord and in tradition. Before I was in Jos. When we came here, the governor Caleb Muftwang showed me one of the bungalow, the house of the ambassador Yahaya Kwande. During the times of the SDP, we met there to decide the fate of Mko Abiola.

“Today I am grateful to be alive and of God to be glory to be the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and to come here to say goodbye to the mother of the community and a humanitarian”.

The mourning garment and the national president of the APC, Professor Nantawe Yilwatda, said that his mother was a laborious woman who lived for 47 years.

β€œI am here to thank God for his life. My mother worked for twenty -four hours despite her health conditions, supporting us and providing humanitarian assistance.

He thanked President Tinubu for his emergency as President of the APC and promised to maintain confidence.

Reverend Dr Amos Mohzo, President and Spiritual Leader of the Church of Christ in Nations (Cocin), Who Spoke on Behalf of the Clergymen, Thanked the President for His Support of Northern Christians, Espectally by Deplepinting Them to Key Positions, Such As Senator George Akume, Who. Holds the post of Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and Professor Nantawe Yilwatda, Who is the National Chairman of APC, Among Others.

The president of Cocin thanked in particular the president for his response to insecurity in the plateau and Benue and urged the president to assist the victims of the conflict in Benue, as well as guaranteeing the safe return of some Christian communities that flew from Borno and Adamawa to Cameroon following attacks of insurgents.

Mohzo assured the president of their support without river in the determination of his administration to implement the renewed agenda of hope.
