Inec to register voters in 811 centers throughout Nigeria

The Independent National Election Commission (INEC) will register Sustainable Voters (CVR) in 811 centers in 36 states and the Federal Capital Region (FCT).

Commissioner and Chair of the National Inec, the Information and Voter Education Committee, Sam Oluumekun, revealed this in a statement issued after the regular commission meeting on Friday in Abuja.

Olumekun Inec will spread the direct location of CVR online to assist residents in finding their nationally registration center.

He noted that the CVR will be continued on August 18 with pre-online registration, while the direct registration option will follow on August 25.

“After that, the two processes will continue simultaneously for one year until 30 August.

“This exercise will be held in 811 centers consisting of 774 our local governments, 36 states and FCT offices throughout the country from 9:00 am to 3 pm (Monday to Friday) every week with an exception to national holidays.

“The locator will live a day before the start of the CVR on August 17, 2025 and can be accessed at the following address https://cvr.inecnigeria.org/locator.”

Olumekun added that the commission uploaded a 38 -page document to its website and other official online platforms on Thursday, showing the address of 811 direct registration centers nationally.

“Likewise, special telephone numbers have been given to each state of the federation to serve as a table of assistance for citizens who need further clarification.

“The procedure for online registration and directly remains the same as what happened in 2022.

“Detailed information about the process, including video clips, will once again be released by the commission next week,” added the National Commissioner.
