Inequity: Sen Kalu supports Zulum, criticizing the handling of FG threats in Borno, Seast

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has issued a passionate request to the federal government, urged immediate action to stem the wave of insecurity that threatened many regions in Nigeria, especially the Southeast and Borno states.

In a video posted on his social media page on Monday, if, which touched the Senate Committee at the Southeast Development Commission, echoed concerns that were recently appointed by the Governor of State Borno, Babagana Zulum, and warned that if the determinants were not taken, terrorists could immediately defeat regions in the northeast or southeast.

“I want to believe Professor Zulum,” said Kalu. “The security situation worsens every day. We need to go, especially in the southeast. This is the main route to transport goods from ports and refineries. If we don’t act now, the region can be unregulated.”

While recognizing the efforts of the Southeast Governor and security operators, if it stressed that the deteriorating Nigerian security crisis must be met with a united non-party response. He criticized the ongoing public disagreement between Zulum and the Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, said such a dispute distracts from the core issues.

“This is not a time -when for arguments. If we don’t tell the real President of Tinubu, we don’t help the country,” he said. “There is no governor or president who wants their people to suffer. The Minister of Information must consult a security institution before making a public statement.”

If praised Nigeria’s military and security agent for their resilience despite limited resources. He specifically praised the Army Chief of Staff, the Police Inspector General, and the State Service Department (DSS) for their commitment.

“We need to provide more equipment, funds, and support for soldiers, police and DSS,” he added. “Let’s stop playing politics with the lives of the Nigerians. Let’s support President Tinubu to end the insecurity and rebuild the economy.”

His comments followed the new report about the new waves of Boko Haram attacks and kidnappings in the state of Borno. At the security meeting on April 8, Governor Zulum increased the alarm regarding the revival of rebel activities. On Sunday, Senator Mohammed Monguno from North Borno echoed this concern, which stated that any government could not protect its citizens to lose its legitimacy.

Senator Kalu, who is currently in China, calls on cross -line unity to face a deeper crisis, emphasizing that national security must rise on political divisions.

“We must stop politicize insecurity and face reality before us,” he said. “We are owing to our people.”
