There are internally conflicts in Atlético de Madrid with respect to Ademola Lookman, according to the famous Italian journalist Matteo Moretto.
Moretto said the club is not sure to sign the Nigerian.
Some inside the club are pressing for the deal, while others are not convinced about the player’s ability to have a positive impact on Atlético de Madrid.
The conversations are currently internally, and the result is still unknown.
Atlético de Madrid has been very active in the transfers market in this window. The club has spent a total of 149 million euros.
The rojiblancos have signed eight players, including:
Alex Baena – Villarreal (€ 42.00m), Dávid Hakko – Feyenoord (26.00 million euros), Johnny Cardoso – Real Betis (24.00m), Thiago Almada – Botafogo (21.00m €), Matteo Ruggeri – Atalanta BC (€ 17.00m), Marcí – Ud Almero). (16.00 million EUR), Juan Musso – Atalanta BC (€ 3.00m), Clément Lenglet – Barcelona (free transfer).
The Spanish side does not show signs of deceleration, since they are still interested in bringing more players. Atlético is currently in conversations with Stuttgart for Enzo Millot.
Given the spending power of Atlético de Madrid this transfer window, there is still the possibility that the club’s board can reach a consensus to sign Lookman.
