Internship participants docked because of the alleged theft of N6.5M in Oyo

The police on Friday charged four female apprentices in the judges of Iyaganku in Ibadan, the state of Oyo, for the alleged theft of N6.5 million their employers.

The Defendants – Mutiat Mutiu (20), Morenikeji Adeniyi (23), Omowumi Kazeem (20), and Selimot Keminde (18) – were charged with conspiracy and stealing accusations.

Prosecutor, Insp. Salewa Hammed, told the court that the defendant was suspected of conspiring to commit violations.

Hammed accused that the defendants, between 2024 and February this year, stealed N6.5 million, which was produced from the sale of goods belonging to the Azeez Sekin, complainant.

He said the violation was contrary to section 390 (6) (9) and 516 from the 2004 KUHP Law.

However, the defendants claimed to be innocent for the accusation.

Judge, Ny. MM Olagbenro, provides guarantees to the defendants in the number of N1 million each with two guarantees each in the same amount.

He postponed this problem until July 15 for hearing.
