Investigations have been launched to the death of an internet streamer known for taking part in extreme online challenges.

Raphael Graven, who left with Jean Pormanove, was found dead in the contest, near Nice, on Sunday night.

The last direct streaming viewer of the French on a platform kick such as twitching reportedly became worried about him lying lifeless on the bed, unresponsive to their comments.

According to France24, the prosecutor said the 46 -year -old man was in accommodation that was rented for the purpose of broadcasting the internet streaming. The broadcast reported has been running for 10 days.

French newspaper Le Monde said Graven was known for participating in a video where he suffered violence and insult, along with two colleagues. A man was seen throwing a bottle of water at him as he put the mattress.

French Digital Technology Minister Clara Chapppaz said he had been “humiliated and harassed for months”.

“Judicial investigations are ongoing,” he said.

“Holding an online platform responsible for the spread of illegal content is not an option: that is law.

“This type of failure can cause the worst and has no place in France, Europe, or anywhere.”

Sarah El Hairy, a high commissioner for French children, described her death as “terrible”.

“The platform has a huge responsibility to manage online content so that our children are not exposed to violent content,” he said. “I urge parents to be very alert.”

Graven has more than one million followers on social media.

He was very popular in Kick, which was founded in 2022 as a competitor for Amazon’s twitch. Known for having a more loose moderation, and offers a higher income maker.

A spokesman for Kick told Sky News: “We are very sad by losing Jean Pormanove and making condolences to his family, friends and community.

“We really review the situation and are involved with relevant stakeholders to investigate the situation.

“The Kick community guidelines are designed to protect the creator, and we remain committed to upholding these standards throughout our platforms.”
