The Israeli Prime Minister added more details to his very controversial plan for military escalation in Gaza at a press conference with foreign media yesterday – regardless of the criticism of the UN Security Council, who met in an emergency session and urged him to rethink.
Benjamin Netanyahu spoke of the “fairly short schedule” to determine the “safe zone” designated for one million or more that will be moved from the city of Gaza.
He also vowed to seize and dismantle Hamas’s last fortress there – in the central refugee camps, and in Al Mawasi, along the southwest coast of Gaza.
This, per netanyahuIt was the only way to destroy the terror group, which he claimed “conquering Gazans, stole their food and shot them when they tried to move to a safe place”.
Al Mawasi has become home to a significant population of refugees, which mostly live in tents to reach the Mediterranean Ocean, in the designated humanitarian zone.
If Hamas members live between them, their rooting will be very complicated and will involve significant civilian casualties. If the residents of the city of Gaza cannot evacuate south to Al Mawasi, where are they going?
Netanyahu’s plan is to establish more aid distribution sites through the controversial and flooded Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) Gaza with food.
He claimed his policy was not one of the forced famine – describing special photos of babies who were starving as “fake news”, and accused the media of painting a false picture.
“The only one who is deliberately starving in Gaza is our hostage,” claims the Prime Minister.

I asked Netanyahu how he would prevent daily murder that occurred at the aid distribution point in a few months since the GHF has been operating.
