Africa’s most decorated badminton player and former world number one Adesokan Dorcas has praised Anuoluwapo Opeyori for his efforts at the Olympics.

“I must say that (Opeyori) played wonderfully well. Seriously,” Adesokan said.

“He performed wonderfully and I must acknowledge the effort and performance of all his subordinates, the people who contribute to the achievements,” he said of the current African number one.

“As far as I am concerned, I think we should start planning, thinking about how to choose a match at the Olympics. Not just participating, now we should focus on how to win a match.”

Opeyori lost two group stage matches against Tobias Kuenz (Team Switzerland) and Li Shi Feng (Team China), leading to his elimination from the Games.
