“It’s just a friendly match,” says Ancelotti after the defeat against Real Madrid

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has assured fans that the team will return to winning ways despite the team’s defeat to Barca in a pre-season friendly.

Let’s remember that Pau Víctor scored two goals in Barcelona’s 2-1 victory over Real Madrid in New Jersey.

Nico Paz scored Real Madrid’s goal and Barça impressed that night.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said afterwards: “A game with good intensity and good plays. Obviously, we continue with our preparation line, little by little the players are coming back. We take advantage of these games to give them minutes and we continue.”

“The objective now is to give minutes and get the players who are returning back in shape. We are not thinking about the tactical aspect or other things, only about getting the players who are working now in shape. On a tactical level we will work from the 7th.”

He added: “Let’s not go crazy.

“These are pre-season matches, we are missing eight players… For us, the result is not as important as getting the players into good shape.”
