Iyabo Obasanjo bids farewell to Tinubu at 74, praises road projects in Ogun

Senator Iyabo Obasanjo, a governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State, on Sunday congratulated Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 74th birthday, lauding his administration’s efforts in improving infrastructure across the country.

In a statement, Obasanjo described the president as a “courageous and visionary leader” whose policies, particularly in the infrastructure sector, are beginning to yield tangible results.

He noted that the ongoing construction, rehabilitation and expansion of federal roads under the Tinubu administration have had a significant impact on Ogun State, improving connectivity and boosting economic activities.

According to her, the renewed focus on critical road infrastructure has facilitated the movement of people and goods within the state and neighboring areas.

He said: “On this special occasion of your birthday, I celebrate your resilience, foresight and steadfast commitment to building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria. Your administration’s focus on infrastructure development, especially the ongoing federal road projects in Ogun State, is commendable and impactful.”

The former senator added that sustained investment in road infrastructure would further stimulate economic growth, attract investments and improve the living standards of Nigerians.

Obasanjo, who is seeking the governorship of Ogun State under the APC, urged the Federal Government to maintain its focus on people-oriented projects.

He also prayed for good health, strength and wisdom for the President as he continues to lead the country.
