Jafiya commits the inter-agency support for the awakening of the Unity-Thage schools

The permanent secretary, Federal Finance Ministry, Mrs. Lydia Shehu Jafiya, has promised support for the resuscitation of the unit schools, promising a strategic collaboration with the MDA relevant to face the key challenges.

He gave his commitment during a courtesy visit by a delegation of Usosa led by its general president, Michael Ibrahim Magaji in Abuja.

Mrs. Jafiya reiterated the commitment of the federal government for education under the renewed agenda of the hope of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Finance, Mohammed Manga in a declaration, mentioned it saying that,

“As a ex -Atunna of the Unity schools, I keep this dear cause and I will make everything in the power to support the efforts aimed at restoring these schools in their legitimate place.”

The Usosa delegation, which includes Exco members of various schools of units throughout the country – including Sokoto, Yola, Warri, Jos, Kano, Ibillo, Bwari and Ogbomosho – have outlined a series of issues that affect the institutions. These include unreliable electricity, lack of digital infrastructure, deterioration of hostels, health problems and growing safety threats.

Magaji appealed to Mrs. Jafiya to exploit her position to gather the support of MDA key such as the ministries of education, communication and digital economy, health and lands.

Mrs. Jafiya ensured the delegation of her will to support the dialogue between agencies and the mobilization of resources towards the alarm of these challenges. His commitment, rooted in personal experience and national duty, reports a renewed push to schools of lifting units and improves the learning environment for thousands of students at national level.
