In a rare and commendable act of public responsibility, the Registrar General of the Municipality of admission and joint enrollment (Jamb), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, assumed responsibility and offered emotional excuses and heard of the nation for the technical bankruptcy that interrupted the exams of 379. Of the 1.9 million that have occurred.
The affected candidates will now have the opportunity to resume the exam between Friday 16 May and Monday 19 May 2025. This decision was taken in consultation with the West African Examinations Council (Waec), who is simultaneously conducting his exams.
Collect Jamb for his constant commitment to support institutional integrity. Unlike many other public agencies, Jamb has not resorted to the too familiar refrain of “going to court”. Instead, he recognized his deficiencies, invited the parties concerned for the dialogue and subjected his internal processes to the external review.
For the struck students, I extend my solidarity and best wishes for the next test. You are not alone.
