It is with a sense of duty and respect for the historical truth that I respond to the recent statements made by the former governor of the State of Kaduna, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, during his interview on Arise TV. In the interview, he categorically said that all the projects recently commissioned by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), when he arrived on a state visit to Kaduna, were conceived and started under his administration. This statement is not only false, but also represents a deliberate distortion of well -documented facts.
I want to clarify categorically that I was directly involved in the conceptualization, planning and successful delivery of the Center for acquisition of the skills that was commissioned by the President during his visit. From conception to completion, with their cutting -edge tools, structures and training systems, they have been imagined and built to work as professional development and skills institutes that meet international standards and meet the needs of unemployed young people and professionals who try to update their skills. Therefore, it is not only discouraging but deeply dishonestly decreasing the administration of Senator UBA Sani (Con), who has worked tirelessly within two years in office, to start and complete them.
Among the most misleading statements of El-Ruphai there is the statement that started the hospital from 300 beds of Millennium City, which now takes its name from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This project, in fact, dates back to its roots to the mandate of the architect Namadi Sambo as a governor of the state of Kaduna. It was under his guide that the Kaduna state engaged the Islamic Bank of Development (IDB) and started plans to guarantee funding for a cutting -edge medical structure and the Zaria Water project.
However, during the administration of the deceased governor Patrick Yakowa, the commissioner for finances, who is now a senator on duty, presented a submission to the National Assembly through the President’s Office, the Senate Finance Committee. The submission of the commissioner to the president of the Senate Committee, who was governor of the state of Kaduna, formally rejected the loan, indicating that the Kaduna state was not interested in accessing the structure. It was the administration of Ramalan Yero that the state of Kaduna revived the project, successfully committed the IDB and paid the financing of the requested counterparty, which was a decisive step that allowed the plan to go on. This effort underlines the collaborative nature of the project.
So, so that Mallam el-Roma now claims the conception of the project, it is an excellent attempt to rewrite the history of Kaduna’s development. Even more disconcerting, it is his admission during the same interview when he said and I mention “Don’t trust what I said”. This statement speaks of volumes on the credibility of all its statements and should raise serious concerns about the basis of this historic distortion of claims of claim that has not started.
In light of these developments, the executive governor of the state of Kaduna, the senator UBA Sani (with) to establish an independent investigative panel to review the supply and the delivery of equipment for the hospital of the city of Millennium from May 2015 to May 2023, is urged respectfully. adequate. Sectoral protocols and the ethics of their different professional bodies. These are not politics but responsibility, transparency and institutional integrity, as well as protecting public trust and preserving historical truth.
Leadership requires honesty, not glorification. The story must reflect the truth not the ambitions of those who seek inheritance at the expense of factual accuracy. It is essential that the registers are established, not only for those who have carried out authentic roles in the development of the state of Kaduna, but also for future generations who deserve to inherit an honest report of the trip.
The truth does not expire, but the lies and contributions of all the interested parties must be recognized with integrity. As a witness and participant in these projects, I owe it to the public to protect history from political revisionism.
