The Governor UBA Sani carried out the revolutionary breakage of the main road to Karatudo-Romi in the area of the local government of Chikun, 13 years after he was abandoned by subsequent administrations.
Speaking at the ceremony, the governor recalled that Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa had assigned the road construction contract but after his death, the project was blocked.
Reaffirming the importance of the road to the people of Karatudo and Ungwan Romi, he stressed that his government has given priority to rural areas and places where the least privileged live.
The governor has promised that the road will be completed in eight months because the project will be carried out by a reliable contractor, adding that the company will mobilize immediately on the site.
” Our government keeps its promises and we don’t play in deception policy. Our priority is to perform projects that can be verified. That’s why in our just over two years in charge, we assigned over 83 road contracts and we completed 31.
” Politics does not concern propaganda. It is a matter of carrying out significant projects that will have an impact on people’s lives. Some politicians who had abandoned this area in the past, now they have returned to deceive you again ”, he added.
The Sani Governor clarified that the revolutionary breaking of Karatud Road will cover all the streets of the area, including Cemetery Road, Lusawa Road, School Road for Karatudu and Jemaá Road.
According to him, the proposed road project will extend from the Romi Community to Karatud, adding that there is an ongoing road project that extends from Keke to Makera, Doka Mai Jem’a to Dan Hono in the Ward Kujama of the Local Government of Chikun.
The Governor also said that the path of taking water was commissioned to Ungwan Mai Gero in Narayi in Chukun.
