Federal government witnesses on Wednesday told the Federal High Court, Abuja, that the leader of the Biafra indigenous community (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, admitted that he smuggled the Biafra radio transmitter to Nigeria.
Witnesses, State Service Department Operations (DSS), identified as CCC for security reasons, told judge James Omotosho in the ongoing trial from the leader of IPOB due to alleged terrorism.
CCC is a witness to the third prosecution of DSS in the activist trial.
Witnesses of the two agencies had previously submitted an Kanu broadcast audio recordings from the radio station as an exhibition.
In the recording in 2020, the leader of IPOB was heard calling for the murder of several prominent Nigerians, including the President of Bola Tinubu and the Minister of Federal Capital (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
Witnesses, led by evidence by Federal Government Legal Advisor, Head of Adegboyega Awomolo (SAN), said Kanu established a radio transmitter in Ubuluisizor in the Ihiala Regional Government area in the State of Anambra,
He identified the video recording of DSS official inspection about the transmitter at Ubuluisiuzor who was allegedly used by Kanu for his Biafra Radio, said the IPOB leader admitted that he smuggled it to the country.
