The concern for Muslim rights (Muric) expressed dismayed for the killing of 50 Muslims during a prayer session within their mosque in the area of the local government of Malunfashi in the state of Katsina.
The organization based on faith has complained about the budget of the victims and wondered why the West, in particular the United States, is now silent that the victims are Muslims. Muric reminded the global community that Muslim lives also count.
Saturday, founder and executive director of the group, Professor Ishaq Akintola, said,
“Last week they hit the bandits in the area of the local government of Malunfashi killing 50 Muslims. 30 of the victims were killed inside the mosque while praying while the others were burned alive in their homes.
“The attacks took place in several communities of Gidan Adamu Mantau, Ungwar Yar Mai Dabo, Makera in the Karfi and Burdigau department in the Yaba department between Monday evening and Tuesday morning 4 and 5 August 2025.
“We condemn these attacks on the strongest terms. They were gruesome, ferocious, inhuman and barbarians.”
Muric invited the security agencies, in particular the Nigerian army to improve their game in the northern region where insecurity is more visible, saying that momentary attacks in innocent civilians can be explained but not attacks that last all night.
“What happened to the Army outposts? How effective is the collection of intelligence among civilians in those villages? Are we saying that there were no contacts between the safety agencies and the inhabitants of the village before the attacks? If the attacks were” reprisals “as reported, why was there no defense strategy in front?
“We frowning our eyebrows in western countries, in particular the United States, which ululate feverly to the killing of every single Nigerian Christian but which go comfortably in naming sessions when the victims are a large number of innocent Muslim civilians. This selective activism amplifies only our belief in the absence of justice, equity and equally in the global game.”
