He said that the purpose of training was to develop the participants’ ability and ensure that planning was Bottom-Up, allowing the identification of the necessary interventions from the basic level.

This approach, he observed, would have led to an improvement in health results for the people of the State of Kogi.

The commissioner praised the governor for his commitment to transform the health sector into the state.

He reiterated the state’s commitment to improve health indices and generate verifiable data to inform the decision -making process and guide a positive change in the health sector.

Orkar urged participants to collaborate, develop political will, demonstrate leadership and own the program to bring the state health sector where it should be.

Dr. Emmanuel Bola Jonah, desk officer, Swap Kogi State, expressed appreciation for the commissioner for providing leadership and galvanizing support for the seminary.

Jonah reiterated the commitment of the swap state to improve health results and reduce the estimated deaths in the state.

Jonah explained that the seminar aimed to strengthen the ability of health leaders in methodologies, in the resolution of problems and in the informed decision -making process.

“The workshop aims to provide health managers with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively manage health interventions at all levels.

“It will allow them to plan realistic and achievable activities for the benefit of the people of the State of Kogi.

“In addition, it focused on the strategies for the implementation of the annual operational plan (AOP) of 2026 and the priorities of the needs in the face of the new international funding,” said Jonah.

He underlined the importance of planning focused on people.

Jonah stressed that the final goal of training was to improve health results and reduce maternal mortality and children’s morbidity rates.

He underlined that the planning process should focus on people’s needs, rather than on the hypotheses and that the state government had heavily invested in training to achieve this.

The partners praised the state government for giving priority to the health sector and have ensured their continuous support to help the State achieve its health objectives.

They expressed optimism that their support would have contributed to the progress of the state in the health sector.
