The State Government of Kogi remains unwavering in its commitment to protect the life and property of all residents and ensure that the state remains a paradise of peace and security.
In light of credible intelligence relationships, the government deemed it necessary to adopt proactive measures to prevent any form of violation of safety that could destabilize the state.
On Monday, the Commissioner for the information and communications of the State of Kogi, Kingsley Fanwo revealed this in a declaration made available to Lokoja journalists on Monday.
According to the declaration “it is moving to note that the state has witnessed a peaceful sallah, however some threats to security are threatening the peace of the state.

In A Swift Proactive Move, The Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo Has Today Met With The Leadership of the Kogi State Traditional Council Led by the Atth of Igala to agree on the methods to guarantee peace and security in the state.
“In support of his commitment in maintaining the law and order, the State Government of Kogi has directed that each individual or group that enters the State with a convoy of security personnel must obtain preventive authorization from the state controls of the distribution services. This measure is to guarantee correct profiling and verification of all the security agents that accompany these convictions.
“The state government has received intelligence indicating attempts from some people to enter the state of Kogi with the claim to be a safety personnel, with the intention of causing disorders. This directive, therefore, aims to prevent any unauthorized movement of armed individuals and ensure that only accredited safety agents duly operated within the State.
“The main servant of the state, his excellence Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo has also ordered all the presidents of the local government to deal with security in their sectors.
