Kogi’s government reveals the next step on the “violation of the prohibition” – Blueprint Newspapers Limited

The State Commissioner of Kogi for information, Kingsley Fanwo, said that security agents will determine if Senator Natasha Akpoti-Auduaghan should be arrested for having broken the ban on public meetings in the state.

Fanwo said this during an apparition on the “Politics TODAY” program of Channels TV Tuesday.

On Monday, the Kogi government has forbidden gatherings and public meetings in the state for “security relationships”.

In a declaration, Fanwo said that the move was to prevent any form of violation of security that could destabilize the state, adding that intelligence relationships indicated that some people were planning to “stage some violent events on the shoulders of political and religious agitations” to Kogi Central.

Rollies’ ban was announced in view of the return home of Akpoti-Auduaghan.

The senator, who flew to the state in a helicopter, received an exciting welcome from the supporters of Kogi Tuesday.

Reacting to development, Fanwo said: “There was a directive from the governor of the state and the security agencies was said to be the directive.

“If someone has violated him, the security agencies no longer need the governor to give them another directive; they know what to do.

“Only the security agencies will be able to respond to this (whether or not to arrest the senator); they know how they perform their operations. I am not a police officer but I am very sure that many questions are asked about his incitements.”
