Kompany has no plans to leave Bayern Munich: Eberl

Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has denied rumors circulating in the media that Vincent Kompany will leave the club this summer.

After a stellar start to the 2025/26 season, reports suggested top clubs could target Kompany, but Bayern remain fully committed to their manager.

Since arriving in 2024, Kompany has transformed Bayern into a dominant force, sparking intense speculation about interest from other European giants.

In a conversation with Absolut Bayern, Eberl dismissed rumors linking coach Kompany with an exit.

“Let them try; he has a contract until 2029.

“Although he is only 40 years old, he is already one of the best in the coaching profession because he is a very astute and intelligent person.

“Please emphasize the word ‘person’! People have always had respect for him. But he makes that respect grow every day. Just by being himself.

“He brings the experience he gained as captain of a top team before every game. That quality is fantastic; his composure does us a lot of good.”
