Kwam 1 apologizes for the accident of Abuja airport – Thage

The music icon of Fuji, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, apologized for an accident at Nnamdi Azikiwe, Abuja international airport, which led to his temporary flight ban.

The controversy broke out on August 5 when the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (Faan) said that the 68 -year -old attempted to board a flight of Airlines Valuejet to Lagos with an “unidentified liquid substance”.

Faan said that the singer ignored the safety of the aviation (AVSEC) and the warnings of the flight captain and even paid alcohol on the staff while trying to inspect his ball. This, the authority said that his “disordered conduct” entailed the suspension of two values of valuesjet.

Kwam 1 initially argued that the ball contained “simple drinking water” from the airport salon, not alcohol.

The musician veteran, in a declaration signed personally on Friday, expressed regret for the dispute but rejected the relationships of being captured with alcohol at the airport. He explained that he suffers from chronic dehydration, which requires him to always bring water for medical advice.

According to K1, the ball in his possession in the day contained only water, a precaution that said was necessary due to his chronic condition of dehydration.

He said: “The accident that occurred at the local wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on August 5, 2025, involving my modest self and my airline of Valowjet was, not to say the least, unfortunate.

“Unknown to many, I suffer from chronic dehydration and my doctor strongly advised me to remain constantly hydrated. This is the reason why I always carry with me a water balloon. And contrary to the negative narrative that is spread in some quarters, the ball that I brought on that particular day contained only water, not alcohol, as erroneously assumed.

“For the record, I crossed two safety projections with the empty ball. The ball was full of water only in the salon area, just before going to the asphalt. This fact can be verified by the CCTV movie in the airport room. Furthermore, I had not even boarded the plane, I let it been weak.

“However, I recognize and deeply regret the concerns that were born from the accident. It has never been my intention to cause any interruption or violate the aeronautical protocols in any way.

“My unshakable patriotism and loyalty not peeked towards the Federal Republic of Nigeria have never been in doubt. Over the years, I have constantly used my talent and the platform donated by God to promote the Nigerian brand all over the world. village.

“Having said that, the accident is honestly regretful. I am committed to supporting the values and responsibilities that derive from being a global ambassador of Nigerian music and culture.

“For the presidency, the Ministry of Aviation, Faan, NCAA, ValoreJet, Nigerian companions and my fans teeming all over the world who showed great concern since the accident occurred, I kept my apologies without reservations and heard.”
