Lafarge Africa Plc, a company of innovative and sustainable leading construction solutions of a range of concrete brands has reported in N696.76 billion entrances for the 2024 exercise.
Revenue growth represents a 72 % increase compared to N405.50 billion recorded in 2023.
Operational profit grew by 89 % from N102 billion in 2023 to N193 billion in 2024, while profit profits increased to n100 billion by N51 billion, representing a 96 % increase beyond 2023.
During the AGM, shareholders approved a final dividend of N1.20kobo per action, strengthening the company’s commitment to provide value. The recent Holcim Group agreement was also recognized to sell its participation of 83.81% in Lafarge Africa in Huaxin Cement Ltd.
Contacting the AGM shareholders, President Lafarge Africa Plc, Gbenga Oyebode MFR, said that the success recorded in the financial exercise of 2024 reflects the shared vision and trust of the shareholders of the company. “Today’s AGM reflects the strength of our shared vision and the trust of our shareholders. Our extraordinary performance between the twenty economic contrary to our commitment to excellence and sustainable growth. We are well positioned to guide sustainable growth, enhance the communities and model the infrastructures of Nigeria for generations to come,” he said.
Speaking also at the AGM, the CEO of the group/CEO, Lafarge Africa Plc, Lolu Alade-Akinyemi, said: “Our 66th AGM celebrates a year of considerable results stimulated by innovation and sustainability.
The achievement of the growth of revenues of 76 % in the face of the economic challenges certifies our dedication and our strategic attention. We remain engaged for innovation, sustainability, operational excellence and the supply of a value higher than our stakeholders. “
